Hi! How are things going for you. My dad is doing so-so. His arms are getting alot weaker right now. He has been treated great though by our local VA clinic. He wears a brace of some kind on his hands several hours a day to straighten them out and they have him doing occupational and some light physical therapy. He still has a good appetite but it is hard for him to eat because his fingers are curved permantly. I am currently staying at my dad's due to some marital problems. It's been a rough couple of weeks. Hope things work out. Take care of yourself. You are in my prayers, Kim

Hello Vzandt, thank you for your friend request. I am very happy to accept it and look forward to making lots of new friends on this forum. My friend with MND is still able to live quite independently as it seems to be progressing slowly. We are still hoping for a mis-diagnosis. Both of us are still working but the long commute means I am not on here very much. I find your input very informative.
    Hi Cheri,
Hope everything is going okay for you. My dad is coming over to my house for Christmas Eve. I'm working Christmas day on the switchobard at the hospital. My dad is doing so-so. He's starting to lose the strength in his arms and hands. It's hard fo him to adjust too. Merry Christmas to you and take care of yourself. Kim

    Hi Cherie,
How are things going with you? Our youngest son just got back the other week from visiting my dad in Dallas. He commented that his grandpa actually looked better then he did over Labor Day weekend. Dad's progression seems to be at a standstill right now. When he was first diagnosed it was pretty rapid. Dad was supposed to find out last week if he is going to be in a clinical trial but now they said it will be another 10 days before he finds out. I'm not sure what the name of it was. If he gets in it I will post and keep everyone informed on how he's doing. Take care and write when you have time. Kim
Hi! How are things going for you? I just bought airline tickets for my aunt (dad's sister) and our youngest son to fly to Dallas to vist him Oct. 4- 9th. I paid for my aunt's ticket as a early birthday present for her. She will turn 80 in December and is a widow on a fixed income. I am the meanest mom ever too. My 15 year old daughter was acting up so I took her cellphone away. lol Take care, Kim
