  • I did not check my messages timely. Sorry. I heard no one complain about face paralysis or mouth biting before either. Just when you think it can't get any stranger, it does.
Hope you are doing good today. My half of your smile is working here in Florida despite our "liquid sunshine" outside. ((HUGS))
Good to see your green light on. !!! g'night. I have had a big day. Pals had difficulty with elimination and I had to give a suposotorie. what a fun day... he spent a lot of time in the bathroom today.

Yes, the inside of my mouth is full of bites. And at night it is worse because my mouth gets so dry my cheek sticks between my teeth. LOL This disease has a new twist daily, doesn't it?
    Linda,
You're up awfully late. And you've been very quiet, too. Is everything okay? I know I haven't been on much. With everything happening so fast here, it puts our lives in to perspective. You take care of yourself.
    Sending prayers around the world,
    Kimberly

    Linda,
You're up awfully late or you're up awfully early! You can choose which one. Devastating news. I wished I hadn't gotten a funny feeling. How was your appointment about the pacer? Or have you not gone yet? Let me know, please.
    Much love to you,
    Kimberly
Hi VoiceforLinda! Thank you so much for your encouraging words and recommendations. We can only hope that my husband will continue to have slow progression like yours. If you don't mind my asking, do you have any twitching in your limbs? My husband does but wonders if it can stay that way for a long time before his muscles actually atrophy. Also, he was wondering if you are on Rilutek, which he is. He doesn't get on this forum, he prefers not to look but likes that I screen it for encouragement!
We will remember your "Boogie Board" tip, I see him needing it in the near future. I'll add you to my prayer list and pray for your continued slow progression. Thank you!
Linda...yes I am taking coconut oil...3 tblspoons a day...thinking of raising this to 4. I have been taking this since the middle of Feb...when I called my neuro about this he said OK to take. My HDL went from 40 something to 70 something. Not sure about ALS but I believe it could not hurt and may help in time. I take organic extra virgin coconut oil made by Nutiva(they have a site). I order mine from Amazon. I add to my coffee, cream of wheat, hot tea, even as a spread...not bad at all! Judy
