  • I'm thinking he may move on. I have sons around his age and suffice it to say I would want to sit down with each of them if they started stuff like this. I know he is suffering but. . . .
Thank you for your post, Vickim. I have had severe constant ringing in my ears, dizziness, weakness in my hands, arms, legs, feet, core, neck and mouth (weakness started out in one hand), and muscle twitching since about March. I went through an ALS panic, but it was ruled out and I got over the fear. The cramping/spasms have only started up recently, but they are extremely painful and I don't know what's causing them. I've always been healthy my entire life and active, up until this last spring when I was hit with all this stuff. I have started to research muscle diseases since my neurologist talked about it. I have recently heard of mitochondrial myopathy but I don't know much. In fact, I ran a 5k last year that benefited the condition, yet I hadn't even heard of it at that time! Do you get any twitching from the disease?
I wish I could PM but I cannot, hoping today was a good visit for you. I actually see another neurologist close to home on Monday. I am going to have to quit Vicki, I am doctor shopping. This guy came highly recommended to me so we shall see.
