  • Hey man. I can really relate to your struggles. I’m going through the same. I just wish I could go back and change some things. So
Much stress and a car accident 6 years ago that caused severe whiplash. How are you now? Any answers?

Mine are as well. And it's the worst feeling. No control over what is happening. Looking at my daughter just breaks my heart because I want to be here for her more than anything. I go May 28. My wifes birthday unfortunately. I will keep you updated, and I will be praying for the both of us. Let me know how your appointment goes as well friend.

Good luck at your appointment this week buddy. I will be praying for you.
Hello Txu4urtime! I have similar symptoms to you! I have been dealing with LEFT side (for me) swallowing issues for FOUR years! Had 8 EMGs, including the last 5 with the tongue... but as you said, that doesn’t get the actual throat muscles. Its super frustrating for me, as I am sure it is for you... Have you heard any new ideas from doctors since your last posts? Thank you! Scott.

Is your swallow issue worse at any times of day? I find mine is worst in the morning... best in the evening.

Oh yes. Thank you. I’ve read it often. Thank you. I thought stickies were the tags.

    thank you John
Hi. I know that conventional wisdom is that one should not guide neuro on EMG. But if you want to you can ask them if they can do trapezius muscle, its also fine for monitoring bulbar muscles and its easier to do.

I'm not diagnosed, so I'm not an authority in that regard. But I had upper lip twitch for 2 days, they used to start after i brush my teeth. Now they are not present anymore. Hope for good :)

Thanks again John for trap muscle idea. I read a favourable study on that for bulbar. Before we do the tongue I will Politely ask Neuro to please start with trap. Much obliged
