I have a myopathy and problems particularly in the Paraspinals weakness fasciculation’s spasms and Dysphagia. Consultant found weakness in my left leg left finger flex knee jerk was absent IBM is a possibillity. Muscle MRI was normal. Emg shows as Polyphasic Neurologic with Fasciculation’s reflexes tested again left knee eventually initiated a high kick surprising me I can normally just manage to lift my foot of the ground a few inches. Muscle biopsy taken still awaiting the results. I have fasciculation’s that are visible and deffuse I feel deep fasciculation that are invisible particularly in my right Paraspinals that I am permanently aware off. My Consultant will only pass comment when he has received all the results this is understandable. I am well informed a realist I do not get emotional at the possible consequences of my review the most likely outcome I can see him arriving at is a diagnosis of ALS do you agree, many thanks.
