Am so sorry for your loss.

My daughter's nail beds practically disappeared. Noticed that they were diminishing about a year ago. In April of this year, the only one I could easily see was on her right thumb. (ALS started on her left side). Heard something about breathing and nail beds, but never from pulmonary doc.

My heart goes out to you.

Definitely ask hospice, but ask your local ALS group as well. Tracey had a shower chair and other helpful devices that were loaned from the ALS "closet".

Actually, ran out of characters! Tracey always has a smile when she sees you. She loves her family more than anything. She still runs her house, making sure the kids lives are "normal". The grandkids are great and her husband is outstanding.

Have been reading this site on and off for a while. My beautiful daughter was diagnosed in Oct 2008. She's a wonderful mother to three children, a loving wife and a terrific daughter. So badly want a cure before we run out of time.
