Cruises and how you handled them

We went for 8 days last winter on the Norwegian Gem. Hayden was walking with difficulty, no hand use at all, being fed, etc. Staff were fantastic..unsure at first but my day or be they knew us. Saved us a seat close to door so less walking, didn't question our using washrooms together

Went..ok. Spent Christmas eve with my folks and Christmas Day with Haydens Family. Was emotional but ok. Big family gatherings did make the house seem even more empty though sadly. Yours?

    ahhh Christmas

My first without my Hayden. What an emotional roller coaster the entire thing has been, with so much to come in the next couple days. I have been blessed with a couple truly wonderful friends who have helped keep me going. They came and decorated, took me shopping, brought me drinks lol. Thank...

    Beautiful but ghoulish day

5 months out tomorrow. My house is slowly becoming less shrine-like. That being said, Haydens sweater is still at the front door, glasses in the bathroom, etc. Slow but sure...Living by the ocean sound wonderful and healing btw

    What have I done?

Leaving work was a GOOD decision Vincent. My only regret is that I did not leave work earlier, spending every minute with Hayden should have been my priority, I should have looked into the possibilities for staying home sooner. Love your family. Make every minute count. Make this Christmas...

    Public bathroom tips, tricks?

I did the same for Hayden as atsugi. It was more of a problem to find a single room type bathroom. Thank goodness for the new family/breast feeding type ones now

    Aftermath

I am sitting 3 feet from where Hayden died peacefully in our living room. I love it here, can't wait to get home each day as it feels like he's still here. I'm so very glad we stayed home, it was calm, quiet, I kicked ppl out when we wanted to be alone. Perfect.

Wake up call and hard choices

So very sorry. Completely understand, one person you love to care for is plenty! Finding her a home where she will be safe, well cared for and will make new friends is paramount now. A difficult decision and transition but one I hope will be positive for you all xo
