Max- Ok.. well, I guess there really isnt any reason to rush.. he just started the deanna protocol and coconut oil.. he started taking rilutek but it seems to weaken his right leg all of the sudden, so he stopped... I am still not sure if that drug is good or not. So, I guess we will just...

Adozi- I don't know yet. All we know is his insurance will be in network vs. out and that is great news. I will be delivering all the medical info they requested tomorrow. They said it takes 4 days to process and they will let him know if he is accepted... I guess they just need to make sure...

Well, a little good news... my dad will be able to see Dr. Appel in network after all. He is getting all info they have requested together today and I am driving it down tomorrow for him. Any idea on how long it will be to get in to see him after they get the information? Thanks.. kim

Thank you all so much.. I was leaning towards van.. for all the reasons you guys brought up.. just seems so much better and safer. this disease just moves too dang fast. I am so scared for him. I will discuss this with him this weekend... if not sooner. wow, no on to the web to search for...

I know we need clinic.. we are trying to get him into dr. appell.... working thru insurance issues.... There is so much.. I am overwhelmed.. thanks so much for helping me. on top of all this, I have a very demanding job and a 5 year old... its tough to get it all done. So glad I found this...

Nikki- thanks for the advice... really appreciate it. another quick question.. he has his scooter now, but no way to transport it... walking is really difficult, I am leaning towards advising him to go ahead and get the van vs. a rack to hall the scooter... but I don't want to scare him by...

Dalvin, Thanks for your response. I almost feel like he should just go ahead and get the van... but I hate to say that to him as he is just adjusting to the diagnosis and I its all happening so fast and I dont want to hurt he feelings even more by suggesting it... thanks so much.. kim

My dad, newly diagnosed is having more and more trouble walking. Walking with 2 cains but having close calls with falling. Jut started having trouble with right leg today, previously, it was left leg... he has purchased a used jazzy scooter I just found out, but right now no way to transport...
