    Weather: In Memory of Diane/Ladyinn

Woohooo - wonderful break from the unusual hot weather here in Michigan. Sunny day - 61 when I woke up with a forecasted high of 81. That's more like Michigan summer day :)

What are you reading? (In memory of Allen (trfogey)

Finished the Bride Collector and it is what it is - a 'take me away from reality' book. Spent this past weekend reading instead of lawn mowing - started and finished Baldacci's 'hell's corner'. Definitely entertaining! Now I'd think I'd best get some lawn mowing done after work for a few...

My Mom was just diagnosed with ALS

Hi, Check your PMs. I just sent you some information that you may or may not find helpful. One thing I forgot to include on the list is electrical circuits. They're relatively cheap and it's critical that you have sufficient power. It may be an issue since they're living in cabin since it...

Newbie looking for advise when helping someone in denial

I'm so sorry for the diagnosis for you and your family. My Dad was never in outright denial, but he was frustrating to deal with. There were a couple of people who could say anything and he believed it and others who, for no logical reason, he considered inept or just plain dumb. As...

    Come for Tea

OK, daughter spend a couple of weeks in Texas with my sister and learned to quilt! OK, not exactly quilt, but piece and then matchine stitch (sitch in the ditch?) it into a quilt. She made a couple mini ones for the cats and then made this for my mom!
