Hi, my ex-husband was just diagnosed with Bulbar Onset ALS and I fear he has early signs of dementia related to the disease. We have three children and have been divorced for 2 1/2 years.
Have you heard of cognitive and personality type changes happening with ALS before physical symptoms occur? When cognitive functions are compromised, does it impact the rate of progression with the disease?
