  • hi, I'm a new member, I am a care giver for my ex Husband, he has been diagnosed with als over 6 months ago and seems to be pretty advanced, he is partially paralized in his left arm, hand and leg with a drop foot, still using walker but now must start using wheelchair,I'm working on getting one, current problem we have is ,he is losing use of muscles in hisright upper back and neck and we can,t figure out a way to keep him from slipping and falling over to his right when sitting up in bed,he lasted only one day w/ hospital bed, that proved to be a nightmare for him as it is so slppery so he can,t use the head raised position without slipping down and it being so narrow he doesn't have enough room to position him self to get him self back to a sitting position.....is thier anything we ca n use to give him more traction and support so he can mamuver in the bed? we would appreciate any suggestions..Thanks, Sally
