  • My Christmas wish for you and your family is to live in Peace Harmony Laughter and Love and know how Beautiful You shine so bright with your Love and Light! I just want you know how much you mean to me ... we have never met in person, but you are known to me and stay in my heart. I feel we have been friends forever ....
Hello rkyoung, your words touched me, and I want to say I would love to be your sister! Your grief must be deep for the loss, yet happy that she is now free...she can run and sing and jump and there are NO LIMITATIONS for hr anymore in the Lord! I am hoping that our "elder Brother" here on the Forum, CaptAl, is throwing a big party with all those from the forum who have died and gone Home. Somehow I feel they are very close to us, who are still struggling. Yes, I will pm you when i have the time to share a little more about myself. Meanwhile I send you a big hug, from your sister, and surround you with the warmest arms of prayer.
Hello just dropping by to say welcome to the forum, though I see you've been here a while, but i usually hang out at the als forum more, so I may have missed you. I still dont know how al this works, but I'm learning. Anyways, just wanted to greet you personally. Loosing your sister must be very painful. I am very close to my sister and she was worst off than me when i got my diagnosis, so I had to comfort her. I tell you, if she had this disease I would be besides myself too. That is how love works.
Take good care of yourself, and know that I am praying for you and your family.
Thanks, I need the "bad attitude". I've been polite and watched them ignore the central issues concerning my sister's care. My bad attitude gets results, I'm keeping it. How's your sister?
I'm with you, rkyoung ... I've been told I have a 'bad attitude' my whole life ... what they are really saying is 'Your attitude is not like mine'. Keep up the good fight. Keep the attitude.
I'm just trying to deal with how rapidly the disease is progressing and how stupid the Medicare people are. Other than that, I'm good. How about you?
I read some of your posts and if she does starve to death, it is a pleasant death. The body releases endorphins in response to it. Ghandi did it repeatedly (almost). He wouldn't have done it if it wasn't pleasant.TRUTH
I'm sorry to hear this.If I were you, not knowing your financial situation, insurance, etc. I would get your phone book out and call two or three agencies now.Hospice works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all holidays.Get them to come talk with you and gather information on what is available to you now. They have Docs on board for evaluations(and RN"s).I think that would be the quickest way for you.

Of course, you can call your neurologist, but he will refer you to the agency(ies)he is
    affiliated with.

It's your call. You can probably get someone over tonight if you are lucky.Let me know if I can help you any further.
