Richard hi and Merry Christmas to you and your family. I don't have an answer to your question about finding a mobile system to let you speak while out and about. But I did happen onto a site --ALS in Philadelphia where they seem to have an augmentative communication expert where you can ask her questions. http://www.alsa.org/als-care/augmentative-communication/ She might come up with something for you.

can i pick your brains..........well not literally lol.
i was thinking of starting a new group for ladies to discuss about more personal problems with coping with disability,it would need to be private for ladies eyes only.
when you go to the page to start a new group you have a few options.........
private/moderated and if to enable messages or not,not sure if any of these
would make the messages private to members only or not.........any idea?

Thanks for the thoughts you posted on my computer question thread Richard. Your perspective is really helpful, as I thought it might be! I have been able to borrow a MacBook from a daughter who doesnt use it, and so I can now experiment a little before making a decision. Thanks again!

I've just killed my computer and urgently need to replace it. I posted a thread asking for suggestions, but I'm especially interested in what you think is currently the best way to go, as you seem to have an eye on technology. Any thoughts?
