  • Hello Pat,
It's great having another nurse on-board (I'm NOT a nurse) with good common sense wisdom to share. You really will do fine in your chair. The truth is, nearly everyone does damage, and those who don't often have very open homes to roll in--or have tremendously good spacial sense. My problem (?) is that I'm married to one with amazing spacial sense, and it's hard for him to understand "normal". Tell your husband it's to be accepted as you are worth every nick.
    xo with prayers,
    Ann
hi pat . . Thank you for your wonderful kind message . . I hope i not coming across as a giant scaredy cat ! Lol . .i have seem the advice you have given on the forum before and you always come across so well . Good to talk and thank you once again . . Alex
Hi Pat, what research are you looking into? We probably will not be going back until March due to the weather. HUGS Lori
Hey Pat, just saw your message(you wrote it on your page!) Anyway, we canceled the 11-8 visit, as Les has appts at the VA on Tues, and the drive is not guaranteed to be snow free. Les has his visit with Pulmo and Primary care at the VA, and we didnt want to cancel those. Also, he is so bummed about the news Dallas gave us on the pacer, and I need him to be stress free for the VA.
    Hi Lori,
yes it would be a long drive for you,esp with Les not feeling that great. Yes, we are going, it is just about 40 minutes away. guess what, we have a 9 am visit on Nov 8 too. I would love to see you.I Think I know who Dr Katz looks like, that actor who stars in Flashpoint on Friday channel 2--Fox, he also was in a comedy series? name he played a photographer for a fashion magaziine.blessings.

Hi Pat, We are not going, Too long of a trip from Reno. Our clinic got moved to Nov 8, hope the weather holds up for us!! Are you going to the conference? Les has a Pulmo visit at the VA tomorrow. His dizzieness is getting a bit better, but still not feeling good. HUGS Lori
Thanks Pat, I have now gone 3 nights in a row using the bipap all night long. So I would say it is going pretty well. I have not heard about the bipap being attached to a mechanical vent, but I am new to this and not that far advanced yet. Congrats on getting fitted for your chair! How long after getting fitted for it does it take to get delivered? I hope you get it soon and that it works great for you!
Thanks for the prayers, they are appreciated, and of course reciprocated.
Hi Pat, thanks for the message and kind words. I appreciate it. Due to a mix up they ended up not delivering the BiPap until Friday afternoon. So far it is going pretty good. I was not able to keep it on the whole night last night. However I did wear it for an hour and a half which I thought was pretty good for the first night. Then I took a nap today and wore it for an hour. So while it is an adjustment I think I am adapting pretty well.
I hope that you are doing great! Please keep in touch! Stay strong and keep the faith! - Ted
Hi and welcome!! We just did a study for Dr Katz, He still needs volunteers, and it was easy and done with in a week. HUGS Lori
