Hi Elaine,
Thank you for the welcome. I am having a hard time absorbing all the new information and it helps to have others like you out there who know exactly how I'm feeling.
I've always been the strong one in the family, planning family events, taking care of my kids and my aging parents, working and being extremely active physically. So much has been taken away that it is overwhelming sometimes. I'm grateful to still be able to swim daily and go for short walks, but gosh I miss all the rest.
My husband and my kids, ages 27 and 28, have been great. I'm lucky to have both kids back here in Tucson. My daughter is having our first grandchild in April. It makes me so sad to not be able to help her out like I was looking forward to. I find myself constantly telling them how sorry I am to be putting them through this. Mostly we just try to enjoy our time together.
Any advice from you will be appreciated. You seem like a wise, compassionate woman.
Your new friend,
Kay
