YouTube "Liva Las Vegas" Elvis dancing is just complete smile worthy.

CPP.. Lucky me was an Investment Advisor/Account Manager at a bank where I loved my job and clients, so even when I left, I stayed in touch with clients. A couple worked for Service Canada and did all my paperwork, got approved first crack and only took 2 1/2 months.
    The backdated cheque was nice.
Unfortunately, the CPP people see ALS, realize we're screwed and approve it instantly.
Make sure your Dr. puts the earliest date of symptoms for maximum backdated benefits.
    Cheers & Bon Voyage
    Hello Elaine:
Disney was amazing, the hardest part was coming home to be consumed by the thoughts of this disease again, actually struggled emotionally to find happiness in day to day living. I think I prefer the fairy tale environment with the family which was such an awesome (legal) :) source of escape. The big plus was that sooner after returning from WDW my Mom came out for a visit from BC, and yesterday was her birthday so we got to spend it with her - AWESOME. How have you been? I've been thinking about you and others here and knew I had to get back on the forums soon.
    Talk to you soon,
    Darryl
Hi Ottawa Girl. Thanks for checking in, and I apologize for taking so long to respond. The summer has been busy, including a visit to see my brother a few weeks ago. I'm so glad I was able to do that. It was wonderful to be able to spend a little time with him and his family while he's still well. I will treasure those memories always.
I hope you are taking care. Thank you again for your kindness.
Thanks! She's a doll, the light of her grandfather's eyes! I'm not liking the speed, but it is what it is! We can use all the prayers... More is yet to come as always with this disease!

    Hugs,
    Jen
Oh yes the grueling EMG tanked up on Klonipin with tears in my eays. It's been a long 10 months starting with dystharthia, and then the deadly Pseudo Bulbar palsy and today came the ALS diagnosis tha opens the door to medicare along with the end of life spill by the neurologoist eg power of attorney, DNR, will, O my gosh why on the same day. Life is changing rapidly. He put me on a Bipap and Sophie is sending me the suction yanker. Thank you for caring. Tonight my head is spinning.
KK is enjoying most of her classes so far. She has a few prerequisite sciences to get under her belt before being admitted to the nursing program. Pretty stiff competition to get in at our University. Fortunately we're only 3 miles away, so she's close by. No cell phones in class so I'm making the adjustment to not having instant access via skype or messaging.
I've had a rough few weeks with independent toileting and am mourning that loss. Got "stuck" this morning and had to skype daughter # 1 to come rescue me. fortunately her work is close by. So "depends" it is while KK is in class, just getting too dangerous now as my body becomes less reliable. I'm researching suprapubic catheters, my Neurologist is NOT on board at this point because of the incidence of infection. I say better for independence, safety issues.
Thanks for responding re: cramps. My doctor had told me about magnesium, but it just doesn't work as well as the tonic/quinine. What script did you get for the cramps? I think I've heard baclofen but I'm not sure that's the one.
Hello, how r u? I am fine, just been a little busy with my daughter. She moved away to college 3 hrs. away from home. I miss her, but I am very proud of her. I went to San Antonio two weeks ago, it was great I love the Riverwalk. Well take care. Bye
