My husband was diagnosed in Oct 2014 with bulbar ALS. He is 65, and originally planned on working till age 70. But now he is planning on retiring by July on his 66th birthday. I read that you cannot get disability if you're 65, because he is eligible for retirement. Is there something like "retirement due to disability"? I know if he was getting disability it would be easier for our college-age daughter to get more financial aid.
