Hello, my name is Casey, I am a home health nurse and I joined this blog to gain more knowledge about my current ALS patient. His ALS progressed very quickly, he is already on a vent and was diagnosed about 1yr and a half ago. He is complete and total care. He is 100% completly immobile. He used to communicate with me by blinking his eyes for yes, but now he is not even able to do that. He is only 36 years old.
My patient has become so near and dear to my heart, I want to provide him with the best possible care. Are there any useful websites I can go to to to gain more knowledge? I dont want it from a text book, I am quite aware of the what the disease is and how it is caused, I just want to get the perspective of actual patients since mine isnt able to communicate. Thanks so much and God Bless!
