  • I read your blog. Touched my heart. I left you a message there but I just want you to know that we're all in this together. You're not alone. xoxoxoxo!!!
I hope this day finds you well and in high spirits. The testing is a long and frustrating process. It took over a year of testing to be finally diagnosised.I have two boys one is 14 and the other is 4. The older one is beginning to be more helpful around here but, still lacks responsibility. My youngest is a bundle of energy from morning till night. They keep me going most days. Just a look into their faces reminds me of my responsibility to them and drives me to do what I need to do to provide for them and secure a future for them.I haven't been to kauai but, spent 3 weeks in maui a few years ago, such a beautiful and friendly place.I visit my clinic every 3 months. It's a 5 hour drive one way ,so depending on schedules sometimes make it a day trip, which makes it a long day. Best wishes and have a great day
Good day, I hope that I haven't been bothering you. It's so refreshing to have someone to talk to that knows what I'm going through. Our symptoms sound alike. My symptoms started a few years before diagnosis as well. They thought that I had knee problems from work and went as far as surgery on both knees to see what was going on.When they couldn't find anything they said it was petalla femoral syndrom,a wasting of muscles around the knee. Then the atrophy of the entire leg began. Still walking, but have bad foot drop, stumble and trip alot. The other leg is starting to show signs now. After a good day of being on my feet it feels like I ran a marathon. It's tough because my wife works from 5-10 at night so I still have to suck it up and deal with chores and the kids, when some nights all I want to do is lay there and rest. Again sorry if I'm bothering you with all this, but it is a relief to talk about struggles with someone that understands. Take care, have a wonderful day.
Hello Diane, I hope you're doing well. It's so great to see your pretty avatar and to know you're there.
    Blessings to you--
    Ann
I hope your family comes around. Still waiting on this end too. I feel bad that you have to spend so much time alone. I have people around me and yet feel lonely most of the time.If you don't mind me asking how far along is your als.

This one took all portions of her CPA exams all in one day and passed all but one. She passed that one on the 2nd try. Needless to say she doesn't have a social life which is fine by her. I've been mentoring her for a few years now. She's come a ways but has a long way to go. So that's my day so far.

A garden party tomorrow for a friend who's written a book and I'm going just to support her in her promotion of it. Busy busy but hope to have a bit of down time sometime. Maybe right now! Hope you are having a great day Diane!
    Bunches o hugs,

Howdy on this fine Saturday! I went to a house warming thing at a young co-workers house. She is a strange child. Admirable in ways but a bit odd. She made all her own furniture. Bed with etchings all over it, kitchen table and benches, night stand and dresser, painted her whole house and not your typical paint job. From ligntening bolts to musical notes and circles and geometric multicolored walls and vines throughout the whole house. Every room is different. Amazing and not typical of a 21 year old girl.
    To be continued...
Thanks Diane! It's been a rough morning in that sense. I didn't want to put it on the Cup of Tea board because everyone is nice and cheerful there. I had to talk about it though. That part weighs heavily on me sometimes. Thanks for your understanding of me Dear! ; )
    Love,
    Marta
