I haven't been officially diagnosed yet, but I've been through "all" the tests from my own neurologist and the University of Texas Medical Center Neurology Department. ALS is considered suspicious by not definitive. If I do have ALS, it is bulbar.
My only problem is my speech and difficulty swallowing. I am a college teacher, so you can understand the anxiety.
The spring semester is now over, and I have 7 weeks before my summer school class begins. My question: I live alone and live a pretty solitary life. Is it better to rest my voice and speak as little as possible or use my voice every day?
I am perplexed. Thank you for your suggestions.
