Hello! New here to the "logged in" forum, although have been reading your amazing insights, information, positive words, tips, tricks, jokes, and connection with others for over one year. My husband, Jim was diagnosed with als (I don't like to capitalize it!) on 2/18/09, legs on-set. He rarely uses the computer so I fill him in as we go along.

Thank you for answering questions and sharing your love.....it's an amazing community. Hope is offered in so many ways and seen 'between the lines' as your spirits connect. Cool! So glad to join~ Marie
Hi I found your message, but you need to click on my name and post the visitor message on my page. I did the same thing when I first got here!! We do not have a lift yet, but we had a lady from the VA out here last week, and she mentioned a portable one that we could keep in the garage. Start a thread to ask the question to all the members. Hugs Lori
Thank you for your message! We live 20 min. north of Minneapolis in Coon Rapids. My husband Jim's grandpa worked in Grand Rapids and lived until he was 110. We thought Jim would live that long as well. I also had relatives in Grand Rapids and my parents are from Nashwauk and Calumet, not too far from there. Anyway, our question at this point is in regards to vertical lifts. Has anyone had a lift outside of their home in cold weather climate. Otherwise we will have the lift put in in our home. Thank you so much.
Welcome. I have relatives in Grand Rapids and Cohassett. Are you near there? Feel free to ask any questions, this forum is such a blessing. Hugs Lori
