  • Thank you so much, minnesota. I appreciated your answer to my original posting very much. It helped.
If I may, I might like to ask you some questions ... Fondly, Nancy
Marie, thanks for the info, think we will invest in some of those, very cold here in wv too. I think he will like them at night as well! Hope all is well, thanks again!
Hi there, I'm knew to all this (the forum) but by roaming around on here, I discovered you can put pics on, and came across yours. If you don't mind me asking, in a couple pics I noticed different things on your legs, they look comfy and warm, was curious what they were and if they would benefit my husband.
Beautiful fam by the way! Thanks for your time!
I thought I was the only one up in the middle of the night. Alternating mattress help a lot. Before we got ours I was moving Tim at least every 2 hours, after he is sleeping almost completely through the night. Then he started to lose his diaphragm and it took a month to get the settings on his bipap right. He now uses a sip&puff ventilator during the day and thinks it is great. He has such an amazing attitude.
Just dropped in to say Hi! How are things going for you? My dad seems to be staying at a standstill for the time being. He is 79. He is participating in a clincal trial of the drug Acthar. We don't know yet if it's helping yet of not since it's early yet. But, he hasn't had any side affects at least. Take care, Kim
Thinking of you? How are things going? My dad has moved to Dallas to a facility kind of like a assistant living facility but it provides more 24 hr care. He has his own apartment but has care anytime he needs it 24/7. They provide 3 meals a day and snacks whenever he wants something. My brother and sister take him out alot to the movies, out to eat, and to their kids sporting events. I miss him alot but am grateful he is being well taken care of. We are trying out this facility first and if it doesn't work my brother will make renovations to his house and my dad will move in there. We try to get help for dad here in his home town but couldn't find anyone even going through agencies and at this time he doesn't require Hospice. Take care, Kim
Hoyer lifts are wonderful. You should get on the list for a non power lift. We have a power one, but i understand the mechanical ones are not hard to use. And insurance or Medicare will pay For a regular one if you have an rx. You should also get a sling or two, because lifts don't come with slings. In the meantime, I'll look for a video with a gait belt.
yes thanks minnesota, I'm finding it very supportive and am starting to find my way around pretty well too :)
hi and thanks for the friend request :)
I'm a whole one day older than you how about that!
So sorry we have to meet like this, but I am looking forward to getting to know you and share support.
Hi! Thinking of you. Wishing you and your family a Happy Easter. You are in my prayers. Kim
My Christmas wish for you and your family is to live in Peace Harmony Laughter and Love and know how Beautiful You shine so bright with your Love and Light! I just want you know how much you mean to me ... we have never met in person, but you are known to me and stay in my heart. I feel we have been friends forever ....
Hi ! How are things going for you? My dad is currently back staying at his home now in the same town as me. I am thrilled that he's home since I hadn't seen him since Labor day. It is hard though to see all the changes in him. His spirits are still good which I'm grateful for. Dad got out to day to see a Christmas program at our youngest son Eric who is 9. Eric was thrilled that grandpa was going to be there. Take care, Kim
