  • I'm doing quite well, thanks for your concern. I've been taking a breather from the forum for a bit. Reading fairly often and posting occasionally. After several years, I think battle fatique is setting in. Thankfully there are new members that are taking up the slack from some of the veterans. I hope Mick is doing OK. The first few months after diagnosis are the worst, believe it or not.

    your just an hour or two on the motorway from me,i'm in a town near leeds.
    been to manchester many times when i was younger,remember how scarey it is going over the moors in the fog.

    Hi there, we are in Bolton, near Smithills. Sorry about Mick's diagnosis. Laurence was diagnosed in Nov 2008. He had arms onset, and it has be relatively slow progression. It is only now that he is experiencing some weakness in legs and abdomen. We both work at Salford University, he is still working full time. We decided to have a child after diagnosis, his name is Stanislav (Stanley) and is now 6 months old.

    well mick and ang.....scousers are mad , yer right der, wees like dat no wat a mean like......er!.... used to catch a bus to skem with me mates nicking apples from the orchards...and me dad would call my sisters tatty head..great days, great times but a would"nt go back...sure hopes things are in control your end . look after yourselves cos you have to do dat do dont you do, do..loves johnnypool
