  • Hi there,

how are you coping with this snow? Wishing you a Happy Christmas. Dani, Laurence and little Stan.
Hi Ang, I heard from both her son and daughter as well. Thank you so much for letting me know what you found out as well. Iris is 175 miles from her daughter and is not happy. I would be she didnt expect to be that far away. Plus change is very very stressful. She has internet, but she is to upset to get on apparently. If she does not post anything tonight, I have her new number and I am going to call her. Poor thing, she has really been put through the ringer with all the change and loss!! Hugs, Kari
Thank you so much for letting me know! I'm so thankful my husband doesn't have to go through everything that sweet Iris has endured. I cannot imagine what the stress would do to him! We women are truly the stronger sex!
hi ang, good to hear from you.
hope your ok and your hubby is doing as well as he can be.
not been too good myself but like an old banger i keep going lol.
looking forward to xfactor tonight.......rebecca to win.
    take care (((hugs)))caroline
    Hi,

yes, the same guy (hearing aid) at Hope was doing SNIP incorrectly for Laurence. We got somebody else in, it was both the wrong technique plus wrong (too small) size nasal plug. I think it went from 30 to 80-100, which is a big difference.

I know what you mean about not wanting help. It's taugh. On one hand they feel they want to keep some indenpendence, but on the other hand in order for them to keep that independence we have to take a lot more on. I am really busy with Stanley, he is like a live wire, into everything, so between him and helping L with dressing, food, doors (well most daily tasks) I often feel I have no or very little time for myself. We have been referred to a social worker, so I am hoping we can get some assistance, at least a few hours per week, so that I can step back even for half hour (working full time in one job, plus doing some additional teaching).

    Take care, Dani

If you know any man who is at a loose end who would like to house share free of rent in exchange for help for me, PLEASE send him my way - or a couple. Someone to help with the dogs, garden, firewood, putting me to bed and cookin etc. Ordinary life -no rent but just share in bills. Maybe just for a break? I'd be sooo grateful and am asking everywhere but with no hope so far. There are mumblings about putting me in an institution but I shall top myself first!
