  • Hi Max,
My dad had quite a bit of gagging awhile back when eating. He had some speech therapy that showed him some tricks to help. I'm saw I was never around when he had the therapy so I don't know what they had him do. Some talk about tucking your chin under when you eat. Also, dad doesn't like alot of company when he eats so he can concentrate. So sorry you have to deal with all that crap. Which I could help. Kim
Max; Tim wanted me to tell you that you never fail to crack him up, and that he encourages him to keep the faith. He says that it is there inside of you.
    Eph. 2:8,9
For by Grace are ye saved through faith, and that (faith) not of yourselves: It (faith) is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.

Tim says that faith is a muscle that we have to exercise, or it will atrophy.

I don't think so, but I'd be happy to try and field any questions you have. David is the real authority, if that helps.
Max-hello! Saw your post on red/white wine. Have heard that as swallowing gets tough for us, liquids that are cold and sweet make our 'swallow' work better. I'm finding that's true for me. I'm sure cheap Pinot is colder and sweeter than red. MadDog 20/20 on ice anyone? :)
How well do you know Texas Tech football? I ask because I don't know how long you've been in Texas or if you are a football.
    Max,
One last note, not all branches of the METRO go into the best areas, if you have any questions about an area just drop me a note.

    Max,
Was stationed in the DC area a couple times and the family lived there for 9 years, recommend looking for a Hotel in the Northern VA area, someplace close to the METRO. Much cheaper and the METRO is great and cheap. I lived in Fairfax City, nice place, safe. My son is Corpsman in the Navy and right now he is stationed at Bethesda in Maryland and lives in Montgomery County and it is very nice up there also. A little more expensive

Max; I finally figured it out when I checked your pictures about dogs, had to laugh at myself. I love photography as well, but just didn't get around to replacing my SLR when it died a couple of years ago. Tim bought me one for a late Christmas present, but of course it is more advanced than my other one and I am getting to know it. It is a Canon Rebel 3Ti, with a long and medium telephoto lens. I really want to do up close shots, but just can't pull the trigger on the dedicated macro lenses. I have a cazillian pictures of my irritating parrot, so many that my oldest son who is now 31 got jealous. You have beautiful dogs, made me miss my Kona. He was the darkest red Golden Retriever that I have ever seen, many thought he was a husky Setter.

You're going to hell? You want your remains flushed down the toilet? Your post cracked me up. lol
    Hi Max,
Hope you are having a good day. I'm working the switchboard at our local hospital from noon-6pm. Then I'm coming back and working tonight at midnite-6am. What is nice is that I only live about three blocks away though. I could walk to work but I'm not going to at night.
I saw where you have four dogs? What kind do you have? We have a puggle named Skipper. He acts more like a pig because he wants to eat all the time. My aunt was babysitting for the kids and she made a cake. She had it on the table to cool. He didn't make any sound and got on the table and ate 1/2 of it while she had her back turned. He's a little monster. lol Take care, Kim
I don't really know if Shawn is legit. Told him to go to ER immediately if his face is drooping. He asks questions but listen to nobody.
I loved your dog pictures. I forgot that you enjoyed photography and in one of your posts you said you would be working on a program when you weren't shooting dogs. I thought, those darn Texans and their guns, now stray dogs aren't safe. I had to put my boy down 1 ½ years ago, and I miss him dearly. He was a golden and would pick up anything dropped and put it back into your hand or lap. He once picked up a bobby pin that I dropped. Now try and get a ball away from him and that was a different story. Well he would give it to me, but I did all his training. He use to love to tease the boys by laying down facing them and push the ball toward them, ready to grab it the second he went for it. Gardening was a pain, because he wanted me to throw the ball the entire time, and if I didn't he would put it in my weed bucket, or in front of the lawn mower. Keep up the great attitude.
