  • Hi Isasse, Im curious if you ever received an official diagnosis. Was it determined to be BFS or something else? How have you been doing over the past few months as I have similar symptoms. Thanks.
Hi, I'm Tim, and I've had some similar symptoms to you. I also had a neurologist evaluate me. He found no weakness or atrophy, and all my reflexes were normal. EMG was clean. So he diagnosed me with benign fasciculation syndrome (BFS). Apparently, BFS comes with all sorts of weird symptoms. In addition to the fasciculations, you can have generalized fatigue, muscle pain, stiffness, paresthesias. For instance, my right leg is almost always painful and stiff, yet the EMG on that leg was completely normal. If you are still having a lot of anxiety about these symptoms, I recommend joining the BFS - Moving Forward group on Facebook. It's a community of people working through their anxiety over these symptoms, which seem scary, but ultimately do no damage to the body.
