Hi, I'm new to the group and am looking for some feedback. I had a friend pass 7 years ago from als. Now my sister has a tentative diagnosis of als.. her symptoms are very different from my friends.. my sister has muscle weakness in her arms and legs, some numbness and fascinations that started in her leg but are now moving throughout her body.. the neurologist suspects als but she has been referred to northwestern to see a specialist and do the emg tests etc. Unfortunately she can't get in until Jan. 18. She is losing her mind waiting.. is it typical for the weakness to move from one arm and then to the other arm and both legs within three weeks. She's also feeling numbness in her butt and back. Thanks for any info.
