I have an Acorn Model 120 Stairlift. Straight stairs, about 6 stairs. My mom rarely used it. We are located in New Lenox, IL, which is near Chicago. we are willing to drive 75 miles to meet or will ship if you are willing to pay for shipping costs. Asking $750 OBO. It's in excellent condition.

She's still here. I'm not sure how, but she is. Everyone she'd want to see has seen her...I am so tired of seeing her suffer, it's just so heartbreaking....I want her to be at peace....

The nurse went to see her yesterday, and said she had a day or two. She's so anxious and panicky. She's got the morphine, the xanax, but she still seems so anxious. I hate seeing her this way. I just want her to be at peace. Thanks to all of you for your support.

What other ways are there to admininister it? She can't take a pill. I'm not sure if crushing the pill and putting it in the feeding tube is a viable option...

She has no fight in her, I just think she doesn't want to struggle to breathe so much -- she wants the oxygen taken off quite often. She does have morphine, but doesn't like the taste so she won't take it very often.

As of Saturday, my mom has had obvious and audible difficulty breathing. She's been gasping for breath, and when laying down it's worse. She has never in the entire course of her disease allowed us to give her any sort of breathing assistance - no bipap, no cough assist, no oxygen. On Sunday...

my Stepdad's birthday is next weekend. I am not sure what to get him because he doesn't do anything besides go to work and take care of my mom. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have talked to the social worker and said I think my stepdad needed the aides/volunteers because he just is losing it. I asked him to make it seem like a next step sort of thing and not an option, because being an option he'd never do it.

They are getting her the donut shaped pillow. The bed is in the same room as the couch. However, she is so thin the patches don't adhere well to her skin.

She won't listen to anyone, but I will try the hospital scare tactic.

I want my mom back to. Unfortunately that is not an option. I have been strong for my mom and respected her wishes. Unfortunately, she is fighting even the things that will simply make her comfortable.
