    Is there a trigger that causes ALS?

    There is no doubt about it that Lipitor triggered my ALS. I had cramping at exactly the same time my hand weakness started. I quit the statin, the cramps went away, but the weakness persisted. A year later, in March 2016, I was diagnosed with ALS.
