thanks Nikki...that does follow what we went through...he started falling at work, left work, was Dx'd, and applied for SSDI literally at the same time - July 16 - August 14 - but he didn't get genes until 2/16.

I believe it will go back to your DX date if I remember correctly so there's your waiting period but I strongly suggest you do not wait to apply. Another quick bit....get in touch with your local PVA-paralyzed veterans group- they are extremely helpful and will make sure you get processed quickly into the VA system.

Absolutely the VA will cover a bi-pap. I didn't read all the responses but our local VA ALS clinic has been incredibly helpful (with all the bad rap VA gets). As a vet this is a 100% service related disease and he us entitled to it. ask ask ask.
