  • Hey Debbie,
I just saw your note...how are you holding up? If you want to talk, give me a call, any time 786.879.6646

thanks debbie, who cares for your father, i think maybe you've spoken to my cousin's husband before dave? we are overwhelmed with the care for her. we are all 37 years old with small children of our own. we do not want to be selfish but there is not enough of us to go around. we have however decided to integrate families to hopefully be able to give all the attention needed in every aspect. Just wanted to say hi and that it sounds like we are or I was in a similar situation as you. It is so hard but I found the support of this forum amazing.
    Debbie,
Just wanted to connect personally. My husband has been diagnosed with MND "probable ALS" Aug 2009. This forum has been an incredible blessing. At times, it's been emotionally tough to read some of the PALS posts, because my husband's not "there" yet, but at the same time, it's been incredibly encouraging and comforting to meet other people who have someone they love living with this ridiculously awful disease...
Well, you are now officially on my "radar", so I'll be looking for you on line!

Just wanted to stop in and say Hi. My mom has ALS Dx oct 2008. I am so frustrated and angery that I cant do anything at all about this. I am a nurse and still cant do anything. I hate the fact that I am not just losing my mom but my best friend. This is a good place to vent and thanks for listning.

Thank you for the kind words. Caring for a parent with this monster of a disease just hurts so much. Reading posts on the forum is extremely difficult at times and brings a lot of tears but everyone is so nice and helpful. I am glad I found it and people like you!
    Debbie
