You did not offend me at all, no worries about that! It's good to hear that your doctors are handling your treatment with just chemo and not radiation. How's your treatment going? It's hard dealing with so many symptoms of unknown causes. I think there's a really good chance in your case that all of your neuropathy-esque symptoms will end after you finish treatment.

I heard about a few patients who has been suffering from that als syndrom some time after they took chemo and radiation.This is not an als cause they expecting problems for 8-9 years.I suppose that their condition is due to radiation but i dont know will it get worse or maybe stop.
Doctors have not found anything abnormal in neuro exam for a half of a year.Emg without denervation but i dont know will it appear or not.I m very afraid because i ve read about als in some cases with lymphoma and leukemia and i ve not done radio only chemo.That 's a big problem cause doctors dont know why it happen,is that chemo or not.

Hey Keith,

My battle with lymphoma successfully ended about 15 years ago. I was twelve at the time, and the cancer is completely gone (good riddance.) Also, the more time that passes, the less likely it is to return.

However, I've also found that the more time that passes, the more I suffer from the long term effects of chemo and radiation. That may be the cause of my symptoms, but my doctors don't know for sure. I had radiation on my spine, so I'm guessing that can cause some of the weird things I'm going through now. I'm concerned that it will get continually worse with time, and as the atrophy and weakness progress my condition will be ALS-esque, but I'm trying not to worry too much. I take comfort in the opinions of my doctor that this is NOT ALS, and that the progression of symptoms has been very slow.
