  • Colleen, I've been missing talking to you too :)

I feel for your son! We get so used to having a computer its awful when that happens. My computer (knocking on wood) is good. Dell replaced it in the end.

Ernie is doing really well, he had a fun day last week where he swam out over a wide canal after some mallards. (he's so cute when he swims, very purposeful) The historic, scenic C&O canal trail is near to us. There is a tow path (from when the canal was actually used) and locks (also no longer functioning) the strip of graveled path runs between the Potomac and this canal, and its flat, so I can walk it. Ernie goes off leash (unless too many others around) and he is so joyful, will swim over the canal, up the wooded hillside after deer (or who knows what!) Thankfully he does not go into the river much. Only once so far, and it wasn't where there were rapids.

    ....(to be continued)
Hi Colleen, sorry that you dont have any pictures for me but glad you had a good time. No beach? The first time we took Lucy to the ocean she ran right in and started drinking followed shortly by her running up onto the beach and barfing. Lots of fun, I love the ocean. Steven gone yet? Hope that your feeling ok.
    Hugs, Barry
Food, food, wonderful food!! Have a great outing, I'm so jealous cause I love everything about the ocean even though I have always lived in Alberta. Looking forward to seeing the pics!!
    Hugs to you too
Yeah, our same ol is always changing. Our lives are morphing somewhat into a new normal. I did sleep without the tv for the first time in months the other night. First time since Greg died. That's pretty huge for me. Speaking of huge, I'm getting FAT! better get off the chunky ol' arse and remedy that! It is spring break here. We slept in today. It was delicious!! Keep in touch!!
Hi- just checking in; we're doing good. Hope your family is well; are you starting to thaw out yet?
    Huga, Marianne

oscar my big ginger tom gets very sick travelling and will ofton loose control of his bladder or bowels resulting in the vet nurse having to clean him up.
last time on the way hope he got himself so worked up he had a funny do,frothing at the mouth and then his eyes went blank. was calling him but he would not respond, thought he had had a seizure.
so got a sedative from vets this time to give him an hour before going..........fingers crossed it works.

Thank you and many super hugs back to you. We are seeing more birds and have actually had some warm days lately. Soon we will see baby deer running around and I'll chase rabbits out of my garden. I can't wait. :) How are you all doing? What is new with you?
thanks Colleen and the same to you.

Yes we are sending Aussies away from here to make way for others to come here.
We have an issue with "boat people" coming here with out paper work but that is a whole situation that the pollies are working on.
We have an agreement with NZ so Aly can come over any time for a tea

    cheers
    Peter
    Colleen,
    Thank you for the condolences.
I have another cat, a female named Cinder. She weighs in at about 13lbs, a pound for every year of her existence. We had a dog, a black cocker spaniel but it ran away about 6 years ago. She was about 10 years old and almost deaf.
Hi Keeks, sorry I havent been on here much. Michelle has been in the hospital with blood clots now. Gees!! Does it ever end?!!! Dont know if its because of the lead or not. I have been thinking of you for a while now, but I just havent had the time to come on here. I am also going to my parents tues, thurs, sat and sun to help out. My mom is exhausted, and my dad is also getting worse. I am a zombie as well. I miss talking to you!! Hope your son is doing okay!!! Hugs, Kari
Dear Colleen, I am so sorry about the modem--doesn't it make you wild not to be on the computer? I hope you're good to go now. Last week my cleaner unplugged the modem, unplugged my laptop... She cleans very well but with enthusiasm. I asked her to check the modem, so we had internet... then my laptop began running on empty. Bed time rolled around with the laptop moved and plugged in again, but when I began to use it, the wireless mouse was dead. New batteries a few hours later and the day ended well.

I'm right there with you regarding the kitty. It takes some time. I hope your life is smooth now for a good long while, eh? (did I do that right?)
I wondered where you had escaped to, thought maybe you had gone off to somewhere exotic like the Caribbean or Prince George. Glad you are back anyway. Weather is warm and melting one day and minus 25 and snowing the next but I don't care cause I don't go out anyway, maybe in May. No luck on the doorway, I'm not holding my breath for that. Maybe I'll just hire a guy with a chainsaw.... How's work and all your men? "All your men" sounds like you have a stable or the female equivalent of a harem :)
Hi Colleen, just wanted to say Hi. Too tired to type much but I miss talking to you :)
bbbrrrr!!! It's COLD down here! I'm glad you got to spend some time with your husband. I hope a good time was had by all! You take care of yourself!
