Hi Kevin- I will be praying the Army will grant a compasionate relocation for your son. Can you tell me how to find the news piece? I see you were diagnosed not too long ago also. I feel so panicked...there are sooooo many things I want to do while I am still mobile. I come from a long line of very healthy family members (thank the Lord) I have always taken my health for granted..I rarely even get a cold. I am still in the shock and denial phase....not sure when it/if it will wear off...I guess that is how I cope....live in disbelief of what is happenning..pretend it does not exist until I can't pretend anymore. I try to be grateful for each day....but when I read of what is to come I can't fathom it...so I have stopped reading ahead and staying in the today...how do you cope? Any advice is welcomed. I understand your frustration with the lack of some kind of a cure or at least something that helps! I have FALS, which I inherited from my mother. She died of it in 1987after 8+ years of fighting. My symptoms started in early 2007, and was officially diagnosed with FALS in September 2008. From then until late 2009 I believed there was nothing that would help. At that time I read some information on coconut oil and magnesium chloride, which are both antioxidants. In late 2009 I added these things to my diet. I've been doing this for over a year. Since then I've had positive changes, such as: no more drop-foot, almost normal feeling in my bad leg, an increase in muscle size and strength. Can I also add that we tried to make part payments to avoid this however they have strict rules and once it is late over a certain time period they will refuse anything unless it is a lump sum !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
