Karen, I'm so sorry about the dx, but glad you have found a wonderful doctor and are taking Rilutek. Sounds like you are on the right track. Keep your weight up ... and hang in there!

It's progressing, getting very weak and unsteady. The usual stuff.
Good luck on the EMG.
My speech deteriorated first (altho I had shortness of breath, too, but I have heart disease, so discounted it), followed by swallowing problems about 9 months later. How is your swallowing? My MRIs are fine, too. Are you seeing a neurologist? That's the next step, and get an EMG done.
