Dx was through elimination over the past 4 yrs of other illnesses. There is no test for PLS. Since EMGs have been clean and other illnesses like MS and HSP have been ruled out, clean EMGs, and clean MRIs symptoms are pointing to PLS. Its been a long 4 yrs.

4yrs ago my husband could golf, play any sport, and work out nearly every day including running for 5 miles. Now, he needs assistance to walk and has lost fine motor skills. Very scary but what can we do? Just enjoy each day for what its worth and pray for tomorrow.

What was the tip of the iceberg for your husband to finally get a diagnosis? New EMG or other exam? All of his past EMG's were normal?
