  • Hi Judy,
That Job verse went right to the heart of the matter, thank you.
    Thinking of you.
It is a bright and sunny day here, but only 12 degrees.
Bird feeders are stocked. I have my coffee and a straw.
    Love Tom
    Hi Judy,
I understand. Lord grant me something like your faith and strength
    Hi Judy,
Just wanted to stop in and wish you a Merry Christmas. How are you getting along? My dad is doing so-so. He is now getting weaker in the arms. He will be spending Christmas Eve with us and I'm working Christmas day and the switchboard at the hospital. Take care, Kim
Hi Judy, I was sitting here reflecting on the year and I thought of you. I hope your faith remains strong and that your prayers are answered this Christmas.

    Hi Judy,
How are things going for you? My dad had an appointment at the ALS clinic this past Friday. He has gained 7 1bs and his breathing has improved since he's been on Ritulek. However, his main problem right now is in his fingers and his arms are also getting weaker. My dad is planning on coming home in a few weeks to stay at his home for awhile. We have a family friend who will be his full-time caregiver and live with him at his house. I'm happy that dad will be coming home for at least awhile but I have to admit I'm scared too. My mom passed away of colon cancer 15 years ago and it took quite the toll on me watching her decline. But, my dad has a great attitude and just tries to live life to the fullest. Take care and drop a line when you have a chance. You are in my prayers, Kim
    Hi Judy,
So sorry I haven't checked in on you in a while, but I do think of you often in prayer.
    Much love dear sister

    Hi Judy,
Thinking of you. Hope you have a good week. My dad is still in Dallas. His progression seems to have slowed down for the time being. Which we pray stays that way. Our youngest son just got back from visiting my dad last week. He had a great time. He commented that grandpa looked alot better then when he saw him over Labor day weekend. We are just praying and living each day to the best that we can. Take care, Kim
Hello judith, if you get your husband to send me your edges, i will post for you

    Hi Judith,
How are things going with you? My dad is still in Dallas staying with my sister and her family. He is doing decent at this time. He uses a walker at the house and a manual wheelchair when he goes out anywhere. He is still able to eat on his own though it's a slow process. His breathing hasn't ever been too terribly bad but he does use a bi-pap at night and it really helps him sleep better. He does take Ritulek but we don't know if it actually helps or not. Our youngest son Eric (who's 8) and my aunt (Dad's sister) are flying to Dallas next week to visit my dad. Our son is so excited to be going to see grandpa. I told him that grandpa can't do as many things as he used too. He said he didn't care that he'd just be happy looking at grandpa. He's such a sweet boy. Take care and drop a line when your able. Kim
    Hey dear sister,

I think the CT gets periodically closed because of the file size (probably for backup purposes). So closing it reduces the amount of space necessary for backup and a new one is smaller for a while. I noticed that you started the new one under "other" rather than under "Religion + Christians Here for Support". I think David gave us that forum because it was so heavily and consistently used. So my suggestion in the future is to put the thread under the "Religion + Christians Here for Support" forum heading and folks would more easily find it since that's where they're used to seeing it.

Grace and love to you my dear friend and eternal sister.

    Phil
