Thank you Joni. Last night we both got 8 hours sleep with only one interruption. I feel like a whole new woman today. Ric got up for breakfast and now has gone back to bed with a couple of painkillers.

Thanks Sandy, sorry about your situation too! ALS sucks! Never in a million years did I think I would be dealing with this disease.

You can write me anytime you need or want to. Its nice to have people that are there for you and it helps. It sucks we both are going through similiar things but know that we are not alone. Take care and keep the hope and prayers and faith going. My prayers are with you and your family.

Joni, thanks. I feel a bit drained today. My hd's catheter did not drained since 7 am. I finally got him to er. It took around 3 hours. I feel drained and will go to bed early. At least I am able to do that. Thanks for your concern.

Hi joni, Im back around now! I just got caught up in a world wind of stuff...moving into a new place, big transition...then my sis Elaine came to visit for a week to do the tourist in Seattle thing...then we flew to see family in California in 2 different places, then on to Sequoia Naitonal Park, my namesake and my favorite place ont he planet earth, camped out a few days...absolutely wonderful! And the meeting with the higher ups came just before all this, but it turned around and was good too. So Iam praising God for alot of miracles of grace in my life. So Now tell me whats up with you, ok? Youll see me around again here putting my two cents worth in, lol

joni, this is Ted. Anyway in one of her emails to me she said that she may not be on for a little. I know they just had a big meeting about her residency etc sounded as it went fairly well. I will email her and check on her.

I think it helps that he isnt out in the elements all the time anymore.
That stuff really ages us- its usually something we never think about.

Bruce gets tired really easy, he says the twitching makes him tired. I wish he would walk, they say that is real good for you, to keep you limber and all. If I can help in any way please let me know, or if you just want to compare notes. I am here!

I started having symptoms in May. My speech is slow and I get tired my the end of the day. Everyone says they can still understand me.
The only limb symptoms I have been having is in my left arm and it is more fine motor skills not strength. I still walk every day.

Hi Joni, I am on my way to Hawaii on Saturday for two weeks with our family and some friends. It should be a lot of fun. If I wait any longer I would not go.

My rate of progression seems to be moving fast. I have fallen 5 times in the last month and my speech is getting very slow. I type faster then I can talk with one hand. I am adjusting to the peg tube slow but sure.

Our downstairs is under construction so I will have a living space and bedroom when I cannot do stairs any more.

Girlie you know we were...I had to bartend last night but my husband rolled Toomer's and I watched while I was on break. It was a crazy night but we were so happy. Starting school tomorrow. War Eagle!!
