My best friend in the world was diagnosed with ALS in August of 2009. I have watch this thing take so much of her physical strength and ability away, but she remains so strong and hopeful in spite of it. I created www.hopeforjoy.ca to help her in the early days, and it raised more than $45,000 for her treatments. Now she is on with leading her life and trying to find a way through this disease, but I have continued with the website. Please visit it as I am wanting to hear your stories. I met with the ALS Society here in Alberta (have to start somewhere and they are great) and they loved the idea of a book.. a story contest where you can tell your story and I can make it be heard. I am kinda good at that... in your face media sales background :) Anyway... please go to www.hopeforjoy.ca and read and become a fan... and enter when the contest begins in March. The proceeds go to ALS... and maybe by doing this, something good can come all of this.
