I sympathize with you, I am also still dealing with grief, anger, isolation, depression and just overall sadness 3.5 years after losing the love of my life. Do you let someone give up without a fight?

Sounds very similiar to my story. My partner of 13 yrs "gave up" soon after his diagnosis, I would spent hours researching on the internet for anything from the initial shock and denial "the dr's are wrong he has Lyme disease", ordering products to help him adjust as his muscles wasted to even...

Hi Sarah, I actually thought about suggesting he give it a 2nd chance and also he plans to check out the ALS clinic in NY. You drive 5.5 hours - every 3 months? If the care is good then of course it's worth it. But you know what they say - 1st impressions.....and our first impression of the...

ALS Clinic vs Neurologist for Care

Rather than researching my prior posts, checking on timelines, creating math problems, etc, it would have been more beneficial to me for you to offer your suggestion/advice to the REAL question at hand. I'm not sure what your motivation is, but I do know it's not coming from a good place.

ALS Clinic vs Neurologist for Care

Happy Easter & Passover! It's been almost a year since my partner was diagnosed. Since then he has lost a great deal of muscle in both legs & arms. He can still walk (slowly) with the walker and his power chair arrived last week. He went for a 2nd opinion at the ALS clinic in NJ 2 weeks...

    I feel so helpless!

Thank you, Miss...I thought about anti depressants for him and looking into joining the alsa so that he/we will have someone to talk to, to vent, etc. We don't really talk much about it. I'm praying for a cure for ALS, not just for my boyfriend but for all those with this horrific disease.

Hi Kmend, I appreciate your responses/suggestions to my post. I notice on your signature that it says diagnosed with ALS but still checking for rare diseases. Are you still testing and did you ask the dr to do further testing or did he/she suggest it?
