I was reading with utter astonishment at the comments you were receiving on the als forum. I can only apologise for these people as they are obviously bitter at having this disease. I cannot take this forum seriously as it takes money from advertisers (ie stem cell of America) who have spurious claims please read this article http://www.quackwatch.org/06ResearchProjects/stemcell.html.
I also find some of their comments slightly racist in their views of India
I have als and am a mum and grandmother and I applaud you for trying to help others. You are obviously a wonderful daughter for being so supportive to your mum and trying to reach out to others who have als. I am trying all I can to help myself by doing research on new drug developments.
Please keep in touch as I would love to hear how your mum is getting on.
