  • Thank you Helen. I need to hear there is life after diagnosis...all you read is 3-5 years everywhere...I am only 49 years old! If I don't think about that I am better...I am just getting started on this journey and I am glad to now be affiliated with one doc/one hospital and start to have a plan in place.
    Hi Helen,
How are things going with you? My dad has been back at his home since Thursday night. But, he got sick right away Thursday night. He's been feeling alot better the last few days but he is in the ER getting IV's now since they think he is dehydrated. My kids got to see him yesterday and were thrilled to see him. Hope you have a good week. Kim
No we don't need the Hoyer back, just kidding with you. I hope you & your family have a great Thanksgiving!! We are all gonna try to make it through & Christmas~ugh it's just going to really kind of suck this year :(
Eat lots & be merry :))
    Helen,

I hope you're okay (relatively) and are just away from the forum because you're busy with life. The big news around here in my little world is that my shed is going to be featured in Popular Mechanics home section in March! I don't know if you saw the album I made of the shed over on my profile page... other than that, we one sick kitty (Phoenix), one new adopted 12 year old kitty, and an unrepentant dog who chases the new kitty (sigh)

    Keep in touch ♥
    Helen,

LOVED your reply to troll about your fitness routine. Just perfect.
I'm not on fb. :-(. I'm seriously thinking of joining now as I begin to spend more time on the Internet. I'll pm you my fb name if and when I join.
Helen~ My Mom & I were talking about you today (were your ears ringing??) because she's having her hip replacement done in January I told her I was gonna sneak down & steal the Hoyer Lift from you. My sister & thought she would look awfully cute "hanging" in it hahaha! Hope all is well! ~Elly
Helen - third session in on Reiki and I love it! I like receiving it for now and will wait to do a class to do it privately on my own. Hope all is well with you.
    Hi Helen~
Just wanted to "pop" in and see how you were doing? Mom's hanging in there, with the holidays coming things willl be difficult for her. We have a new baby in the family, great grandson for her, so that is keeping her a little occupied for now :) And she found out the other day that she is going to need a hip replacement. I'm wishing she kept that lift now!! Oh well she's not gonna have that done until after the holidays.
I really hope all is well with you!!! Lots of love, Elly
    Hi Helen,
How are things going with you? Tomorrow isn't going to be too enjoyable for me. I have to do all the prep for Wednesday when I'm getting a colonoscopy. My mom died of colon cancer in '97. She was 51 when it was discovered but they estimated that she had it for 5 years before that. I'm 46 so I'm being screened. The last one I had was 11 years ago and that one was perfectly clear. Hoping I have the same luck this time. My dad before he was diagnosed was having to get colonscopies once every sick months due to polyps. Anyway, I will be relieved to get it over with. Hope you have a good week and will find out soon how full of s--- I really am. Lol
    Helen,

I wrote to Aly and heard back from her. I understand a little bit more about what has been going on in my absence. I'm sorry, I know she is a good friend to you, and hope she eventually finds it in her heart to come back, if there is even a forum as we know it for her to come back to. I hope to hear from you, and how you're doing soon. (did you start the bathroom project?) ♥
