  • Hello,

I'm new to this site and I'm not quite sure how to navigate my way around. I'm here because of my father. About a year ago he went to the doctor for slurred speech, persistent cough and falling down randomly. Everything has come back negative, except he had a paralyzed vocal cord and showed nerve weakness in his leg. Two months ago he went to a neurologist. They suspected ALS, a tumor, or heavy metals in the blood. Negative for tumor and heavy metals. However, neurologist says it seems odd that he has muscle weakness in legs, but none in arms. They are waiting to schedule a spinal tap, which appears to be the last possible test. Does this sound familiar to anyone out there?
