    Cpk

Hello! Just a doubt about CPK. A level of 230 is considered HIGH to be afraid of ALS? Thanks for the attention. All the best!

ktmj, Reflexes are preserved in ALS? As long I know they are hyper in early/middle stages and absents in later stages...no? Be well, GGKK

What blood tests could be considered in a neuromuscular disease? CPK in 220 is high enough to be worried? Thanks, be well.

    Gallbladder/ALS

Hello! Anyone know if there is any relation with 'gallbladder' and ALS? I read that removal of gallbladder could be good due less toxins,... Does it make sense? I do not think so... :?: Be well, GGKK

    Is clinical exam enough?

AL, I am so happy hearing from my neuro that I am fine, nothing is wrong! :D I do not want to find someone to agree that my thigh is atrophied. But it is a bit hard to put all the worries out of my mind when I fell there is a 'dent' in my right thigh, even my neuro said it is all fine...

    Is clinical exam enough?

Rose, Thank you for your attention. Yes, I know and it helps me to put my worries out of mind. But my worries back when I touch my right tight. It is noticeable there is a 'dip' there when comparing with the left one. The doctor did not give attention to it...(last week). If it was atrophy...

    Is clinical exam enough?

Kylisa, I really sorry for your mom. I hope your family enjoy the fullest with her. I agree with you the neurologist have to do all standards testes (clinical, EMG, MRI,...) to confirm a diagnose of ALS. I just keep worried how he could ruled it out (said 0% chances). And if it is in early...

Hello! Do you think it is possible a good neuro (specialized in neuromuscular diseases) rule out ALS just with an half hour of clinical exams? I'd appreacite the opinions... Be well, GGKK

Hello Al, I am 1,90m tall (do not know in feet ). I am 32 years. I've been twitching widespread for 4 years (not intense, just sometimes). It started one month after I stopped running (may 2005). I was an athlete, my weight was 220 lbs. Then I married and... Last december I felt some...

Muscle wasting with twitches is very likely to be ALS? (no other relevants sympthoms...) Thanks for opinions!

    Worried again...please, some opinions!

Nowaday the twitches (for 4 years, since 2005) do not worry me... My concern is about a muscle wasting I figured out in my right quadriceps. Both quadriceps have the same size...but the right one has a 'scoop' in the middle of it. I feel it when I touch it...and if I force it, it is also a...

    Worried again...please, some opinions!

Do you think a clinical exam made by a specialized MND neuro is enough to rule out ALS? Thanks.
