  • Dont know if I asked you before. If you agree with this can you sign and pass on, it was given to me by the local mnd group
Thanks for the message. It is very dis-heartening, we have worked hard all our lives, sent our children to public school and university, so they now have big salaries so pay lots of tax. We have private health ans have never claimed a bean. I know how your dad feels. If we truly thought stem cell would work, then we would pay for it like a shot. By doing our wills as we have done we have saved at least £130,000 in tax, plus I am sorting my kids out a bit whilst I can. We veha homes in 3 countries..and cosidered by most as well off..BUT the state does owe us, and we will take everything we are permitted to, why not, millions claim fraudulantly. How I wish this nightmsre would end, I would give it back 10 times over. Dont worry about having down days, we are all allowed those, I have plenty myself, when all I want to do is die now.
I read your post about prescription charges...(agree with the tax!!!) I am under 60 so not really allowed free prescriptions BUT I went on the NHS website then my husband called them, they said mnd was a grey area, but to get my gp to send in a form with a letter to put my case. Low and behold within a couple of weeks my exemption certificate came. We DO have a huge amount of savings, but we get everything (I think) that we can get which is not means tested. We sorted out inheritance tax about 20 years ago with an IN TRUST will, so will legally avoid a lot of tax.
Please feel free to email me if you want to know more.
My local authority have been brilliant at supplying all sorts of aids for the home and I am now waiting for my second loan wheelchair. I get DLA maximum and hubby gets carers allowance as he is under 65 and not working...(we both took early retirement, me at 48 and him at 52)

Hi there, Thank you. It's pretty 'full on' this disease, hard to take at times but just so glad i am able to take time away from work to be with him, especially now he's too scared to be left alone.
I cant tell you how much i appreciate the support. x
