Hello, I've considered joining the forum before. I fear my fasics are unlike those benign ones though, as they are primarily not felt and in one calf. However, I do sometimes feel like I'm twitching elsewhere. My fasics only seemed to start after I read about als, which sounds crazy. I don't...

    Lots of questions

Just to add, also, how frequent are als fasics normally? I'm worried mine are happening when I am not looking, or in an area of my calf I haven't looked at.

Also, to point out I have normal leg and arm reflexes but haven't been tested for babinski.

    Lots of questions

As many people will know by my posts, I have been anxious of als for months, and I have some still unanswered questions to ask. 1. I have noticd about 3 fasics in my calf over almost 2 months. Is this notconsistent with even early als? Also, between this I have had body twitching (not fasics)...

    Muscle cramps?

I have noticed that when I attempt to walkon my tip toes or flex my foot that has possinle atrophy in this manner, I get a sharp stitch like pain along the bottom of my foot. Is this muscle cramp or the start of weakness?, or anything als symptom sounding?

    Triggering twitches

Isn't it true that fasciculations can sometimes proceed weakness though?

    Triggering twitches

I might add I have flicked/slapped my calf several times before and since and not triggered the twitches. Are als twitches always triggered and not trig gered at random times?

    Triggering twitches

I thought/hoped my twitches were triggered by anxiety but I fear not. I only knowingly get a twitch once every few days/a week. Some I can feel but the ones in my left calf I can't. I have only seen these ones twice but feared they might be occurring more often. Today whilst in a panic I flick...

    Dent in calf, atrophy?

Basically what i'm saying is would an ALS dent only be present when the muscle is flexed/contracted? Or even when its relaxed?

    Dent in calf, atrophy?

I've been having very infrequent fasciculations in my left calf & foot for a few weeks now (meaning they will knowingly fasiculate once every few days/weeks). However, I have just noticed that when I point my foot up and therefore flex my calf muscle, I have a VERY small dent in said calf...

    Are these fasciculations?

Grateful, I think you have completely misunderstood my intentions (although I am sure you'll disagree). You are making me sound like I am creating new symptoms because I want to have als?!?, which is quite ludicrus as I am sure no one in this world would want to have this disease. I am merely...

    Are these fasciculations?

Grateful, I thought not much of the foot symptoms until today. I was asking a specific question in that post, so didn't post all my symptoms as I know I sometimes have a.tendancy to clump unrelated things together.

    Are these fasciculations?

Hello, I have had an ongoing fear of ALS throughout the last month, and whilst I hope I am being obsurd, I fear I am not. Around 9 months ago I began having joint pains when they are exerted. This has been ongoing but at times gets better. I also have suffered from chest pain (which was assumed...

Is prolonged muscle soreness a sign of ALS/MND?

First of all, i'd like to say thank you to anyone who takes their time to answer this :). I have noticed recently that it only takes a small amount of activity to make my muscles feel strained/sore the next day. For instance, on Saturday I was walking round London/standing on tubes for hours...
