Sounds like my situation.... Parsonage turner.... Pain with weakness and in my case some atrophy... But when I read cramps and fasics were part of ALS, guess what?! I GOT FASICS AND CRAMPS/MUSCLE ACHES ALL OVER! They've mostly subsided and I'm still scared at times , but with pain especially...

You can watch a million baseball games, you can read thousands of instructional books.... You will still never gain as much knowledge about baseball than you would in a few hours with a professional. What I'm saying is, you can read up on NMD or ALS all day, but the people that unfortunately...

And yes, dusty, that's the first thing that went thru my mind with him... Brachial plexopathy... But he didn't express any type of pain... Which is usually a distinguishing factor of BN... Very discernible pain.

I thought an emg of brachial neuritis would still show PFWs? Tremulousness throughout the body would point to ALS? Yes, I still lurk, sorry.

Ok I was wrong. New neuro saw my MRIs and nvs/emg and did a 20 exam on me , listened to me talk and in about 45 mins diagnosed with parsonage turner syndrome . You were right I was wrong. I'll go away but I'll check my wall if anybody wants to say hi. T

Re: Closer to a diagnosis.... Not a positive one... After he noticed the atrophy and gave me the clinical exam... He said "you look like you've seen a ghost." Well no shit? Why would he say something like that? I'm praying to god it is cidp. The presentation of what I understand about ALS...

Got bad news today... MRI shows cervical bulge not causing symptoms. I'm so scared :-(

Closer to a diagnosis.... Not a positive one... Went to neuro today... He noted the atrophy and fasics... He is sending me for emg,biopsy, etc genetic testing blah blah blah... I asked him how concerned I should be and of course he said he doesn't know yet. Still could be something...

Btw idk if what I'm having are cramps or aches and pains.... I guess it doesn't really matter. as with everything else I assume it depends on the person and there's no definition of 'ALS cramps' T

If mike Tyson were als and I could fight him to the death to rid the world of this nasty piece of crap disease, I'd step up and try to knock his head off his body. So many good people face unfortunate fates.... Sickens me deeply. Was talking to my sis about all this crap that's been goin on...
