Go to user cp which is just above your name on your profile page. Click onit and then find edit options and click on it read through it and you will come to a section that says you want to allow private messages. check the box and save changes at the bottom of the page. See if that works.

I thought if they could determine you have a problem swallowing the rest of the drs may start taking you seriously.

What about going to a ENT (ear nose throat) specialist and see about a swallow study?

Ill try to do the happiness thread friend. I don't know what I would do without "you" here to converse with me off and on. I know, I don't see Wash U guys until Feb. We'll discuss muscle bio then. Dr. has been adamant no ALS and when I went to Nashville to St. Thomas on Oct. 6 so was this doctor. It just is so frightening. I will try the tucking of the chin. Thanks for your friendship here and no whining comment!

You are not whining, you are sick and I wish you could get the muscle bio. A lot of this fits in the muscular dystrophy area. You are such a good friend and I worry about you. You have to eat. Have you tried tucking your chin in when you swallow?

Oh Vicki thank you. I wish I could p.m. I sometimes think that ALS should be on the table. It's hard to describe. I don't want to eat because chewing and swallowing are so hard. I have had pneumonia within the last week and a half. Sometimes I don't know where this is going to lead. Weak everyehere and tremors when I do things or when standing or walking. I have trouble with fine motor movements. And the twitches that are constant drive me bananas. Breathing is hard. I am supposed to set up breathing tests next week. Weather-sleet ice and snow. Son came over today to grade driveway. I'll try to do the happiness thread when I can think of doing it. Sorry to whine.
