Looks like my only option for this saliva problem is Botox. Pros/cons from someone who knows?

just going to opt not to do it. dont want to risk not being able to swallow or the other side effects people mentioned.

That's what I am worried about is the ability to swallow or have no saliva at all :(

Looks like my only option for this saliva problem is Botox. Pros/cons from someone who knows?

Have already tried amitriptyline and the under tongue drops (eye drops) and the other Glycopyrrol, nothing works. Still saliva pools under my tongue and spills out my mouth. I sit there half the time with a paper towel or Kleenex in my mouth or wiping constantly. They set me up for Botox when I...

Just curious, does anyone's insurance not cover Riluzole?

I do use GoodRx because of that. It is weird because it's not costly like Nuedexta and Radicava and my insurance covers those

Just curious, does anyone's insurance not cover Riluzole?

Just seems strange to me, my insurance always pays for all my meds prescribed, even the expensive Radicava, but doesn't ever cover Riluzole...should I try to look into why? I've been taking it since last July. Didn't know if anyone else has seen this with theirs. (UnitedHealthcare)

Peg tube people - anyone still sore/oozing? And bra issues?

I've had mine since September and it's still oozing stuff daily. (not leaking, just wound oozing) and it's always sore around the peg. hurts! Thinking of getting into the Dr to see if there's anything topical to put on it to help it heal or whatever, Plus I'm a large chested female and HAVE to...

Radicava patients - any advice on going through another Prior Authorization to extend it again?

Pauliguy - they let you infuse yourself, or they send someone to your home every day? rnewton60 - I am lucky once I meet my 3000 deductible for the year (which one infusion meets that!) my insurance pays 100% of my doctors, surgery, infusions of Radicava And my insurance finally approved it for...

Radicava patients - any advice on going through another Prior Authorization to extend it again?

I am hoping the oral will be available soon too! would be so much easier than infusing it! And I actually feel bad for insurance companies getting charged this per day!

Radicava patients - any advice on going through another Prior Authorization to extend it again?

Ok thanks, I will warn the hospital tomorrow that I may not be in next week unless I hear that I have the approval. Just worried my insurance is probably not wanting to because the hospital charges 8K every day I go in for infusion. Ridiculous

Anyone think of Botox or something else for facial appearance reasons?

More for my forehead wrinkles, I lost so much muscle up there my forehead looks like I'm 100. The eye circles I can kinda hide a little with concealer etc if I wanted to

Radicava patients - any advice on going through another Prior Authorization to extend it again?

I had the Prior Authorization done last year, which took forever, finally was approved last year for 6 months from my insurance company. Now I have to have the neuro do it again and waiting back to hear. I'm going to probably have to cancel all my infusions for next week as it's only authorized...

Anyone think of Botox or something else for facial appearance reasons?

Thanks, they actually are giving me something similar - AVAP for at night time. I just went to a celebrity convention and I used photoshop to airbrush the under eye bags. I looked awful in some of the pics looking like I'm forcing a quarter of a smile. Then I figured out how to turn my head to...

Anyone think of Botox or something else for facial appearance reasons?

I have lost so much facial muscles my face is pretty flat, my eyes sunken in looking with bags under them and Eyebrow line sunken down, and major forehead wrinkles. I've never been one to ever want to think about Botox or chemicals in my skin. But I just look so awful in pictures and people...
