I am relieved to see you here. I was worried and considered calling. I know, I go in and out of funk! For a long time I wanted, prayed it was something else, a misdiagnosis, and now I have to face reality. It is more and more apparent. The monster has moved in with us!! He is okay. He is much weaker with more difficulty walking, and his hands are very weak. He can hardly do any fine motor. I help him dress and do a lot he can no longer do.
He was never even asked to do Physical Thearpy or Occupational Therapy. It may be because you are on your own. I think with ALS they teach you to use what you have and how to cope! Because John has me, I think he wasn't even asked. And, at this point he wouldn't have the energy.
Tomorrow he will have a person come to evaluate the house for a chair glide. He has a friend coming to visit and go looking at wheelchair vans, he also has a power chair coming.
